The Tsugami B0124-III Swiss Style Automatic Lathe uses the same rugged framework as the B0123-III, but adds a back spindle and 4 fixed tools to the configuration. This 4-axis turning center has basic back spindle capabilities along the Z2-axis and is able to eliminate many secondary operations. This convertible Swiss style lathe features Tsugami’s time-tested sliding headstock technology – the fastest and most efficient way to cut small parts.

Economically priced like other B0 machines, the B0124-III turning center includes many high-end features such as Tsugami’s gang type tool post, rigid cast iron frame, robust 12,000 rpm main and sub-spindle speed and a full NC package. This CNC automatic lathe offers a total of 17 tool positions: 9 OD tool positions and 8 fixed positions for flexible 4-axis machining.

The Tsugami B0124-III is CONVERTIBLE and may be run as a traditional sliding headstock Swiss Style Lathe using the guide bushing or run without the guide bushing with the addition of an optional chucker kit. When run as a chucker the turning center can use drawn bar stock instead of centerless ground stock, dramatically reducing remnant size and increasing shop flexibility.
